We take all song requests on a case by case basis, and we always honor the requests if we can. We hold ourselves to a very high standard, and only perform special requests when we feel like we can play them at the same level as the rest of our setlist. If you have a special request song you want played at your wedding, please don't’ hesitate to reach out to us to discuss it.

What makes Raw Deal unique is that we are a band of friends that came together to play music that we love. When Raw Deal was started in 2016 it wasn’t with the intention of becoming a wedding band. We just wanted to play the music of our favorite Funk/Soul/R&B artists in clubs around New Orleans.
It wasn’t till a few years later that we realized we had almost accidentally created a band that was perfectly suited for playing weddings and corporate events. Many New Orleans based wedding bands have a constantly rotating cast of band members, frequently these bands will have musicians that have never even met before performing together. In contrast, we’ve been building our chemistry on and off the stage for almost a decade!

NO! There are many wedding bands that play songs from every style. We are not one of those bands. We consider ourselves a more specialized group, and our specialty is 70/80’s Funk, R&B, and Soul. We do play some more modern material by artists like: Bruno Mars, Adele, Gnarls Barkley, etc.
